On October 14, we harvested 200 pounds of syrah from the middle block and about 18 pounds of “rogue” chardonnay scattered in the upper block. The color is fabulous and the “numbers” are very similar to the delicious 2010 vintage. We crushed a little bit less this year as we still have nearly a full 5 gallon keg of the 2010 remaining. (Note to self: drink more rosé.)

By the numbers: 218 pounds, 21.5 degrees brix, pH 3.45 ---> 12 gallons of juice
